Percolator is a dance that’s a must for any party. You have to move your legs to the beat to percolate. Percolator is a word that can be confusing, but we’ve decided to simplify it. It’s a glassware piece attached to a bong. The purpose of the percolator is to filter the smoke through water and give it an ice-cold effect. This means you get more smoke! Percolator Bongs are available in different types. Let’s take a look at them to get a better understanding of them.

2- Tree Percolators: Tree percolators consist of small vertical tubes slit to reduce the smoke. The idea behind tree percolators is that the more vertical tubes there are, the better it is at filtering down smoke and making it smoother.
3- Turbine Percolators- This is the most beautiful design of a percolator. It not only shows off your favorite piece, but the angled slits create a swirling effect with the water in the main chamber, which extends into the next room, resulting in cooling the smoke down and diffusing it while you display your glass piece.
Barrel Percolators: Barrel percolators are cylindrical with a gridded design that makes them look like barrels. Barrel Percolators are more diffuse and have more holes. The barrel perc is usually upright but can be turned to the side in bongs that connect directly to the downstream.
5- Inline Percolators. Inline percolators are an extension of downstream/shooters. Inline percs have slits or holes facing down or to the side. This diverts water down or into the side. Inline percs also prevent water from shooting up too high.
Cross Percolators: Cross percolators come with a combination of inline percolators. The only difference is the inline tubes are attached to the downstream and are in a cross shape. Cross percolators have been known to increase airflow and reduce splashback.
7- Sprinkler Percolator. Sprinkler Percolators in India are called shower percolators. They are similar to tree percs, as the tubes are extended and have a hole. This makes diffusing smoke easier and gives your glass piece a beautiful look.
Inset Percolators: This percolator is built into your favorite piece of glass. It has a chamber within a room with honeycomb percolators and another section within a second chamber.
The 9- Showerhead Percolators- This is a combination of barrel percs and turbine parts. It has the disc from the turbine perc with holes similar to the barrel percolators. This design pushes the smoke through the small hole and reduces the drag on the bong.
